Platform Onboarding: Let's Start Building Agents

You'll work in your own workspace throughout the session, building and testing real agents step by step. By the end, you'll have multiple working agents and a clear understanding of how to design, instruct, and integrate AI agents for your own workflows.

This session is for anyone getting started on the Abundly platform — whether you just activated a subscription, joined through one of our partners, or simply want a guided introduction before diving in on your own.

You're a great fit if you:

• Are new to Abundly and want a fast, structured start
• Have workflows you'd like to automate but aren't sure where to begin
• Prefer learning by doing over reading documentation
• Want to understand how AI agents work — not just how to click buttons

No prior agent-building experience is needed. Basic familiarity with AI tools like ChatGPT or Claude is enough.

• Write effective agent instructions using context engineering principles
• Connect agents to email, scheduling, and external systems
• Use APIs and integrations to extend what your agents can do
• Apply the Agent Design Canvas to plan agents for your own use cases

Session Content

Agent Fundamentals What is an AI agent? How does it differ from a chatbot? You'll learn the core building blocks — instructions, tools, knowledge, and autonomy — and how to think about agents as a new type of worker.

Context Engineering Understand how LLMs process information, why every word in your instructions matters, and how to achieve a high signal-to-noise ratio. This is the foundation for writing instructions that actually work.

Hands-On Agent Building Build different agents from scratch in your own workspace, each introducing new capabilities: web research, email, scheduling, document-grounded Q&A, and integrations.

Integrations & Connections Learn how to connect agents to external systems — both inbound and outbound — using built-in capabilities, HTTP requests, and MCP servers.

Agent Design Canvas A structured framework for planning agent projects: purpose, inputs, outputs, triggers, interfaces, and success criteria. You'll use it to map out an agent for your own workflow.
