AI Agents for Leaders

1 dayEnglish

Most AI initiatives don't stall because the technology fails. They stall because nobody has decided what the organisation should look like after adopting AI — and because the people who own that decision have never actually used the tools.

This is one day for the leaders who own it. You build a working AI agent with your own hands, you see the patterns from more than 200 organisations that have already tried, and learn what is needed to ensure you thrive in a world with AI.

Who should attend

This course is built for two kinds of leaders — and it works best when both join from the same organisation:

  • C-level executives — CEOs, COOs, CHROs and CFOs accountable for what AI does to the business model, the cost base and the people.
  • Transformation owners — AI Leads, Heads of Transformation, CIOs, CTOs and digitalisation leads with an explicit mandate to make AI adoption happen.

No technical background is needed. What you do need is a real mandate and a real organisation to apply the day to.

Participants join from across Europe and beyond. The mix is deliberate — you learn as much from a peer in another market as from the trainer.

After this day you can...

  • Build a working AI agent yourself, without writing a line of code
  • Identify and prioritise the agent use cases with the highest value in your own operations
  • Design and lead human-agent teams where agents take the repetitive load, people keep judgement, creativity and relationships, and adoption actually sticks
  • Anticipate the failure patterns that make AI programmes expensive — and avoid them

Course content — overview

  • Why agents change the game — what agents actually do differently, and what the organisations that went first have taught us about winners and expensive failures
  • Build it yourself — hands-on agent building, so you lead from experience rather than from slides
  • Finding the value — identifying, assessing and prioritising use cases across your organisation
  • Human-agent teams and leading the change — designing work where augmentation beats automation, and handling the resistance that comes with it

How the day works

This is a working session, not a webinar. The group is deliberately small — never more than 20 leaders — so everyone speaks, and everyone leaves with something that applies to their own situation.

The day alternates between short, sharp input from the trainer, hands-on work in Abundly's agent platform, and peer discussion in breakout rooms. As the schedule shows, the largest blocks of the day are building, prioritising and planning. You work on your own organisation throughout: the agent you build, the use cases you prioritise and the plan you write are all yours, not case-study examples.

What participants say

"Holistic view and concrete action."

The leadership courses this one is built on have an NPS of +89.

Course content in detail

Why agents change the game

  • What an AI agent is, how it differs from a chatbot or a traditional automation, and what it makes possible that was not possible eighteen months ago
  • Where value has appeared and where money has been lost across the organisations we have worked with — and why augmentation beats automation for roles, headcount and cost

Build it yourself

  • Hands-on: designing, building, testing and adjusting your own agent in Abundly's platform — purpose, instructions, knowledge and tools
  • What building one agent teaches you about overseeing many agents later, including how to read an agent's failures and when to trust it

Finding the value

  • Where to look for agent use cases in your organisation, and how to assess value, feasibility and risk without a six-month study
  • Building and sequencing a portfolio rather than betting on one pilot, balancing top-down priorities against bottom-up enthusiasm

Human-agent teams and leading the change

  • Dividing work between people and agents: what people should never hand over, how roles and workflows change, and who is accountable when an agent acts on your behalf
  • Why resistance appears and what it usually tells you — psychological safety, leader behaviour, and the common pitfalls: the pilot that never scales, the tool nobody opens, the mandate without resources

Where this course fits in your AI transformation journey

This course moves you from Level 2 to Level 3: "Introducing tailored agents" — and gives you the leadership foundation for Level 4: "Building AI/human teams".

Most organisations get stuck between individual chatbot use and real organisational change. This day gives you both halves of what it takes to break through: the hands-on understanding of what agents can do, and the change leadership to make an organisation adopt them.

After the course — your next transformation steps

For you as an individual:

  • Platform Onboarding: Let's Start Building Agents — half a day online, from your first agent to a working set of them
  • Design of AI Agents — two days, the full craft of designing and building agents

For you as an organisation:

  • AI Strategy Workshop — a company-specific session to turn your plan into a roadmap for the whole organisation
  • Pilot partnership — we build one high-impact agent with you in 4–6 weeks while training your core team

Part of Abundly's complete transformation programme — from Level 1 to Level 4
